Terms of Service

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using Mari Yangu, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use Mari Yangu for an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or an adult under the law where you live, and able to enter a binding agreement. You may not use Mari Yangu if the law prohibits you from receiving the service.

Accounts and workspaces

• Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in details secure.
• You are responsible for activity on your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.
• Workspace owners and admins control membership, roles, retention settings, and other workspace settings. Their actions can affect data available to other members.
• Only upload, access, or share receipts and expense data you are allowed to use.

The service

Mari Yangu helps you capture receipts, extract their details, organize expenses, generate reports, and export records. It is a recordkeeping tool, not an accounting firm, tax adviser, financial adviser, or legal adviser. You are responsible for reviewing your records and deciding whether they meet your accounting, tax, reimbursement, employment, or legal needs.

Your content and data

You keep your rights in the receipt images, expense records, notes, reports, and other material you submit. You give Mari Yangu permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that material only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

You are responsible for keeping your content lawful and accurate. How we store, keep, delete, and share data, and the controls you have, are described in the Privacy Policy.

OCR and automated outputs

Receipt reading, categorization, merchant matching, insights, and other automated features can be incomplete or wrong. Always review dates, merchants, amounts, taxes, currencies, line items, mileage, categories, and report contents before relying on them or submitting them. Mari Yangu does not guarantee that automated output is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

AI assistant integrations

If you connect Mari Yangu to ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, or another compatible service, that provider receives the prompts, tool results, and workspace data needed to do what you ask. Your use of that provider is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Review the permissions shown during authorization, and disconnect access when you no longer need it.

You are responsible for reviewing proposed changes before confirming them. Mari Yangu may require confirmation, reject unsupported operations, apply rate limits, or restrict an integration to protect users and workspace data.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use Mari Yangu unlawfully, fraudulently, or to violate another person’s rights.
• Access another account, workspace, receipt, or report without permission.
• Upload malware or content meant to disrupt, exploit, or compromise the service.
• Probe, scan, bypass, or interfere with authentication, authorization, rate limits, tenant isolation, or other security controls, unless you have written permission for security testing.
• Reverse engineer or scrape the service, except where the law expressly permits it.
• Send automated requests in a way that degrades the service for other users.

Third-party services

Mari Yangu depends on third-party infrastructure and may link to or integrate with third-party services. We do not control those services, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or data practices. Their own terms may apply when you choose to use them.

Beta features and fees

Some features may be labeled beta, preview, or experimental. They may change, behave unexpectedly, or be removed. Features that are free during a beta may later become paid. We will show the price and any added terms before charging you, and we will not charge you for past free use.

Service availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of Mari Yangu, including limits and supported integrations. We aim to give reasonable notice when a major change affects normal use, but urgent security, legal, or operational changes may take effect right away. The service may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, incidents, or third-party outages.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Mari Yangu or delete your account with the controls in the app. We may limit, suspend, or end access when reasonably needed to address a violation of these terms, a security risk, unlawful activity, nonpayment of an agreed fee, or harm to the service or its users. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to resolve the issue.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mari Yangu is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, or that the service or any automated output will be error-free. These disclaimers do not affect warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mari Yangu will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or intentional misconduct where the law does not allow that limitation.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the effective date and give reasonable notice of major changes. If you keep using the service after revised terms take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.
