Ask Mari about your expenses

On this page

When to use Ask Mari

On the Expenses or Reports page, open Ask Mari from the header to ask about expenses already in your current workspace. Typical questions include period totals, submitted expenses, a receipt you remember, or whether a report is ready. Capturing a new receipt still starts from Add or the camera. Ask Mari does not replace that.

Mari answers from authorized records in the workspace you have open. A viewer can ask, but cannot confirm a report. Answers show recorded amounts, not a claim that every real-world purchase was captured or that receipt reading was perfect.

Ask Mari turns

Expense analysis uses at most one Ask Mari turn per question. Clarifications before analysis consume no turn. Ask Mari never uses scan credits. Remaining turns appear under Plan & usage when the feature is included in your plan.

After an answer, you can mark it helpful or not helpful. That rating does not save your question or the reply.

Where product help is enabled for your workspace, you can also ask how to use Mari Yangu. Help and routing clarifications use no turns, even when your expense allowance is empty. Questions can cover any Help Center guide, including email forwarding, reports, budgets, team workflows, billing, and integrations. Answers give a short explanation tailored to your question, with a link to the source guide for full steps and conditions. If a tailored answer is unavailable, Mari shows the reviewed Help explanation. Asking how to do something does not perform the action. Access to Ask Mari still depends on your workspace and plan.

Preparing a report

Ask Mari can prepare a report preview from eligible expenses. Review the count, dates, and omissions, then press Create report if you want the report created. Nothing is created, emailed, or submitted until you confirm.

If Ask Mari does not appear, your workspace may not include it yet. You can still search the expense list and use Export & Reports as usual.
